What We Buy

Phillips Legacy Partners is seeking one established, founder- or family-owned B2B or essential-service company to own and operate for the long term.

Greater Houston and Texas are our primary focus. We selectively consider opportunities throughout the Gulf Coast and United States when capable local leadership supports a strategic-owner model.

What Makes a Business Attractive to PLP

We look for established companies with:

  • Approximately $650,000 to $2 million or more of normalized annual SDE, EBITDA, or owner benefit

  • Recurring or repeat demand and durable customer relationships

  • A strong reputation in a defensible market

  • Capable employees or leadership who can support continuity after the transition

  • Seller responsibilities that can be transferred to existing or newly recruited leadership

  • Opportunities to grow through stronger sales practices, pricing, partnerships, adjacent services, geographic expansion, or complementary acquisitions

  • A collaborative owner who values a thoughtful and flexible transition

Generally Not a Fit

PLP generally does not pursue restaurants, conventional retail, speculative startups, distressed turnarounds, or businesses dependent on one-time projects without meaningful repeat demand.

We also avoid situations requiring the buyer personally to replace the departing owner’s technical, licensed, or full-time operating role.
